Base Plate Upgrade Kit

If you want extra assurance that your pedals won’t move or slip, you can now lock them in place with our new Spike Strips! Maximum holding power for the most aggressive playing styles. New for 2026! Combine these spike strips with our extra heavy duty Velcro® and your pedals will be effectively glued to the floor.

Starting in late 2023, all AXiS Pedals were manufactured with a modified base plate that allows you to simply add these Spike Strips to your pedals. These Spike Strips will fit all AXiS Pedals that have four (4) extra holes just in front of the main column. If you have an older set of AXiS Pedals, you can purchase our Base Plate Upgrade Kit which comes with Spike Strips preinstalled HERE.

Please Note : Our Base Plate Upgrade Kit is not compatible with the older AXiS Laser pedals. The Base Plates on these Laser pedals are a slightly different design. If you have questions about compatibility with your specific pedals, please use the Contact Us button on this page.

The AXiS Spike Strip is available in silver and is compatible with all AXiS Pedals shipped after May 2023.  These Spike Strips will fit all Shortboard, Wideboard or Longboard Pedals that have our new base plate.

  • Springs - our MicoTune® Spring Tensioner comes with a heavy-duty spring while our Standard Spring Assembly comes with a medium-duty spring. These springs are interchangeable between our spring assemblies.
